Reg plates for cycles!

Cyclists could soon be forced to put number plates on their bikes in a bid to stamp out pedal-powered law-breakers.

It would mean riders who jump red lights or hurl abuse would be identified and fined - in the same way as drivers. The plan, put forward by London Mayor Ken Livingstone, could be put through Parliament via a Private Members Bill and adopted countrywide.
