Imprezas at the double

The Suba-Two Impreza is coming! Auto Express's spies have done it again, as we can confirm that not one but two versions of the firm's next-generation Impreza are being readied for launch.

And we can also reveal that the first one is only 12 months away from appearing in showrooms.

A five-door hatch is expected to arrive in the UK next summer, and this will be closely followed by a traditional saloon. With both cars sharing the same platform, the two models will continue to offer four-wheel drive and be powered by the firm's trademark boxer engines.

According to sources, a concept version of the finished hatch, based on the B5 show car first revealed at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show, will appear at the Geneva expo next spring.
