Nissan haunts silver screen

Product placement has gone back to the drawing board for Nissan - literally! The firm has done a deal with a Japanese animation studio.

Ghost in the shell

In a revolutionary collaboration, Nissan has arranged for two concept cars to feature in a film in the Ghost In The Shell series - a popular action cartoon franchise.

The film shows crack police officers driving animated versions of the Nissan Sport Concept, revealed at the 2005 New York Show, and the Infiniti Kuraza, which was shown in Detroit the same year.

The Ghost In The Shell movie is released in Japan this autumn, and will come to Europe on DVD in 2007.
