McLaren's Pedro de la Rosa will do at least two more races for the team after finishing second in Hungary. The Spaniard, who stepped into Juan Pablo Montoya’s drive in France, had a deal for three races, but will now compete in Turkey and Italy, too.
There were rumours he would be dropped for test driver Gary Paffett, but boss Ron Dennis said: “Pedro did an excellent job in Hungary. He’s playing a pretty good supporting role for Kimi (Raikkonen). He has a real good team-building attitude.” McLaren chief Martin Whitmarsh added: “He has fully met our expectations. He was the calmest man in the team when he was behind Michael (Schumacher), and trying to get past.”
