A week after showing exclusive pictures of Citroen's new C4-based MPV as a scale model, we can now reveal the first official images of the full-size people carrier.

And, as predicted by Auto Express, the Renault Scenic rival will wear the Picasso badge. The seven-seat newcomer also has an unusually tall windscreen, which doubles vertical visibility compared to a conventional MPV. Thin front pillars and large quarter light windows also help to minimise blind spots.
Inside, a huge sunroof makes the cabin bright and airy, and clever lighting maintains this impression after sunset. Reading lamps are mounted on the rear of the front seats, and the door pockets illuminate when you reach inside.
The back two rows of chairs both fold flat without removing the headrests - leaving a completely flat floor. To help load heavy objects, you can even raise and lower the rear air-suspension using a switch in the boot. Under the bonnet, buyers will be able to take their pick from three engines: the firm's 143bhp 2.0-litre petrol motor or 2.0-litre HDi diesels with 110bhp or 138bhp.
The C4 Picasso debuts at next month's Paris Motor Show, and is due in UK dealers later this year, from around £14,000.
