Mercedes SL on the charge

If the Mercedes SL isn't powerful enough for you, try the Brabus SV12 for size!

Mercesdes SL

10th August 2006

Based on the firm's SL600 convertible, it has a twin-turbocharged 6.3-litre V12 engine, giving 730bhp and peak torque of 1,320Nm. That's enough to cover 0-62mph in four seconds and 0-190mph in half a minute.

Top speed is 'limited' to 217mph. To cope with the extra performance, the suspension has been lowered by 15mm and bigger brakes and tyres fitted. A special bodykit will improve handling and stability.

Inside, the SV12 has additional carbon fibre and leather trim. Expect to pay around £200,000 to get your hands on one.
