New car trading website www.buyyourcar.co.uk claims it will revolutionise car buying in the UK. It offers the first comparison engine that rounds up prices and specifications of new, used, contract hire and lease cars.

It also claims to provide country-wide information on dealer offers for the first time. As an intermediary website bound to no one marque, it circumvents rules that prevent dealers from marketing or advertising their cars outside of their own region. The website claims to have already saved one buyer over £10,000 compared to what was available locally to them.

New car quotes are printable, so buyers can take a copy of the quote to their local dealer and use it as leverage for haggling. The site also provides collection and delivery costs so buyers can decide whether to choose a car that is closer to home but costs slightly more or one that costs less but is further away.

There is an extensive (but as yet a little under-populated) used car search, and also a very cheap listing fee for people selling their motor - £2.45 for 2 weeks, ranging up to £4.95 for a "advertised till sold" option with 4 photos. This undercuts many of the existing car sale websites by £10 or more.
