Risky renters blacklist

A hitlist of car renters who thrash and crash vehicles, costing millions in insurance claims as a result, has been launched.

The British Vehicle and Rental Leasing Association says its members can now log on to its database to find out if a potential customer has a history of vehicle misuse. The scheme could help cut hire rates and insurance premiums for honest motorists.
