The Brits love a bargain and Mercedes launches a credit card

BARGAIN hunters keener to save cash on cars than anything else. According to analyst compare themarket.com Brits spend more time chasing deals on motors than cheaper holidays, homes or electronic gizmos.

PUBLIC transport firm Stagecoach to trial bioethanol-powered buses in five UK cities, including Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle. If successful, models could appear on entire nationwide fleet of 8,000.
