27th August 2006

How’s this for an off-roader with a difference? Innovative US firm Segway has come up with an all-terrain version of its quirky electric two-wheeler.

The X2 is powered by a hi-tech lithium-ion battery and has chunky seven-inch-wide tyres. It’s designed for nature trails and the beach.

The new model has a 12-mile range and hits 13mph. It is on sale now direct from Segway-UK, starting at £3,799.
