Pimp of the year awards in the States and two Alsatians take over a cop car in Italy

USA: Night-clubbers are holding an Oscar-style Pimp of the Year awards in Los Angeles. The winners are the men with the flashiest cars and best-looking women.

GERMANY: Cops investigating a stalled van holding up Goettingen traffic found a five-year-old at the wheel. "He wanted to go and see the traffic," said a police spokesman.

DENMARK: Traffic wardens in Lubeck were given a carpeting by bosses after they found out two parking tickets had been issued on a dumped and burned-out motor.

ITALY: Two Alsatians took over a cop car in Pisa while officers attended a call. It took nearly an hour to lure the snarling dogs out using a beef sandwich.
