Mazda RX-8 gears up

Mazda's set to swap the existing four-speed auto transmission with something a bit special

The Mazda RX-8 is to get a new six-speed automatic to replace the existing four-ratio box. With its Active Adaptive Shift system, the set-up promises better performance and refinement.

New Sand Beige leather trim is offered at the same time. The updates are available in Japan now, with UK prices to be revealed soon.
