Gung-ho American cops and a French thief returns stolen goods

USA: Los Angeles cops were accused of over-reacting after shooting a cow 50 times when it walked on to a motorway. A spokesman said: "We had to take it down."

FRANCE: A thief returned the wheel trims he had stolen from a car in Lille. He even left a note, saying they didn't fit his motor.

SERBIA: Vujadin Stojkovic hired a fleet of Belgrade taxis, each with a letter painted on its doors, to spell out his wedding proposal. Girlfriend Ivana accepted.
