Alfa Romeo 159

Alfa Romeo's 159 saloon and Sportwagon estate will be fitted with a new six-speed Q-Tronic gearbox at this week's Paris Motor Show.

The transmission operates in automatic or sequential modes to "exploit the power produced by the 200bhp 2.4-litre JTD diesel engine to the full", according to bosses. The gearbox will also be available on 150bhp 1.9-litre JTD models soon.
