Toyota's phone calls the shots

Toyota has teamed up with Japanese phone firm KDDI to offer owners a driver-friendly handset

The Bluetooth phone links wirelessly with Toyota's in-car sat-nav, and a special charger built into the driver's armrest tops up the battery.

Each phone has a but­ton to connect directly to route advisors and emergency services. The set-up goes on sale in Toyota's Japanese dealers next month.
