Ford gets five stars from Euro NCAP

09th October 2006

Ford's Galaxy MPV has been awarded a five-star rating by Euro NCAP, its 35-point haul only one behind its S-MAX sibling.

Both cars boast a four-star child occupant protection score and two for pedestrian safety. Citroen's new C4 Picasso and the Mercedes B-Class also took five-star honours in the latest round of safety tests.

The new Galaxy's safety package includes the latest technology – front airbags and a new driver's knee airbag as well as side-mounted thorax airbags for the front seats plus window curtain airbags which protect all seat rows. As a family car with a comprehensive safety package, new Galaxy also features a three-anchor ISOFIX system for the outer seats of the second row.
