South Africa and Germany took victories as the A1 Grand Prix season kicked off at Zandvoort, Holland. Unknown Adrian Zaugg won the sprint race for South Africa, but crashed out on the first lap of the feature event.
In damp conditions, reigning champ France and the Netherlands had spells at the front, but young gun Nico Hulkenberg (image) coped best to give Germany its maiden A1 GP victory. Brit Darren Manning came fifth and seventh; Team GBR will be hoping for better this weekend in the Czech Republic.
