Z alert as special Nissan blows in

The super Z is coming! Adding a supercharger to a prototype Nissan 350Z seemed like a winning formula, and now the firm has confirmed the high-performance GT-S will go into limited production.

The supercharger can be switched on and off with a dash-mounted button, and buyers will pay £36,000 when it goes on sale later this year.

Meanwhile, the next-generation Micra is already on the drawing board ready for 2009, while a version of Suzuki’s Alto joins the range a year before. A new Cube supermini-MPV is also expected.
