Peugeot 206 bargains

Peugeot's 206 is a still available on forecourts and is a sound secondhand buy

Old age is beginning to catch up with the Peugeot 206 – making it a great used buy. Despite being replaced by the 207, the supermini (image) is still available new in showrooms. But second-hand prices are falling, and experts at VIP Trader Guide say they look set to continue their downward spiral.

Worst-affected are non air-conditioned models, which traders find difficult to sell. While a brand new 1.4-litre Verve with air-con is priced at £8,845, late second-hand examples are cheaper than ever.
