The new Smart ForTwo could be just a click away, if plans leaked by its parent company are put into action

Bosses at Daimler­Chrysler have said the firm might shift sales to the Internet in the US when the brand launches there next year.

"We're looking at the possibility of accepting orders over the Web," claimed a spokesman. "But we haven't made a final deci­sion yet." However, Smart in the UK told Auto Express online sales would never completely replace traditional dealers.
