Lightweight body and V6 engine give Orochi sports car immense pace
11th October 2006
The 3.3-litre V6-powered machine develops around 230bhp and 328Nm of torque. Combine the performance this provides with a kerbweight of only 1,500kg, and excitement is guarĀanteed behind the wheel.
Styling features include a rippled bonnet, bulging wheelarches and a swept-back roofline resembling that of the Jaguar XJ220 and McLaren F1. Mitsuoka - best known for building modern replicas of old sports cars such as the Porsche 356 - showcased a convertible version of the Orochi, The Nude, last year. However, it's still unclear whether or not the rag-top will make it to production.
Other standard equipment in the coupé includes sat-nav, leather seats, electric windows and air-con. No deciĀsion has been made yet on whether the Orochi will be offered in the UK.
