More for less as VW offers no-cost extras on the Golf

Strike a light! VW is packing equipment into its Golf Match. The new model comes with alloys, a three-spoke leather steering wheel and connectivity for MP3 players.

As options, these would have added around £700 to the price of the SE the Match replaces - but the newcomer costs £380 less. There's a choice of 1.6 petrol or 1.9 TDI diesel engines, and prices range from £14,995 to £17,370.
