Time called on shrines

Roadside floral tributes to crash victims now have a time limit

15th October 2006

Shrines in East and West Sussex will now be removed 12 weeks after the date of an accident, while permanent memorials have been banned.

The councils say the memorials are a roadside distraction and a danger to the attendees.
