With five doors, a wider stance and a tall roofline, the Amica is set to offer a spacious cabin, while sleek headlamps and a rounded bonnet look give a cheeky appearance. At the back, semi-circular tail-lamps flank the hexagonal rear hatch.
Hyundai's new baby isn't due until 2008, and while the name remains secret, as the Amica badge returned to the UK earlier this year after a four-year absence, it looks set to continue. What is certain is that the marque's five-year warranty will be standard.
Meanwhile, sister brand Kia is planning changes to its city car. A facelifted Picanto will hit dealers next August or September.
