Now Brits can tow US-style

Upmarket trailers will grace UK's roads in future

16th October 2006

For 75 years they've been a symbol of wealth and independence in the United States - and now Airstream's touring trailers are coming to the UK.

The distinctive riveted aluminium bodies are mated to European-spec chassis in America, then shipped to the Continent to get interior fittings for this market. Weighing 1,600kg, the two-berth 532 costs £34,880. Prices rise to £41,780 for the 2,200kg four-berth 684.
