Swiss police arrest a lady using her laptop on the motorway and safe-busting in Japan

Czech Republic: A coffee company offered customers the chance to win a VW Golf - and more than three million people entered, bringing the postal system to a halt.

Switzerland: Police stopped a woman zigzagging on a Murg motorway to find her using a laptop while talking on a mobile phone. She said: "I always drive like this."

Australia: A motorist got a reckless driving charge after trying to reverse 300 miles along an outback road from Kalgoorlie. He told police his car had stuck in gear.

Japan: Thieves tried to steal a Kobe shop safe by chaining it to a van - but drove off too fast, so the metal case flew out of the doorway and wrecked their vehicle.
