Ban cheats on the rise

New figures show soaring numbers of people being caught for driving while disqualified

Revealed during Parliamentary questions, they indicate a 20 per cent leap from 48,900 in 1997 to 59,500 in 2004. Shadow Transport Secretary Chris Grayling said: "These figures highlight the worryingly high number of rogue drivers who are endangering themselves and others on our roads."
