Sat-nav tricks uncovered

More than 3.5 million British drivers take the wrong route in an attempt to trick their sat-nav units, according to new research

And it's the over 50s who are the most mischievous, with 76 per cent admitting to taking the odd shortcut to test their system's effectiveness. The Saga Motor Insurance research also revealed 16 per cent of users find sat-nav distracting, and more than a third don't trust units to go the right way!
