With a document called Alfaforever - Imagine The Future, he revealed the company's new car plans. These include a new Junior-badged hot hatch, a replacement for the 147, a fresh mid-sized SUV and a new-generation motor to replace the 166.
The first car to hit the streets will be the Junior, which is expected on the road in spring 2008. Looking further ahead, this will be followed by the replacements for the 147 and 166 in 2009, with the SUV following on in 2010.
The Junior is likely to sell for £12,000, while the new 166 will cost as much as £40,000. The 4x4, which the Italian car maker describes as a cross between a coupé and a conventional SUV, will be priced from £25,000.
