Fast, furious bids for star cars

They're fast, they're furious and they're for sale!

RX-8
Get the drift? Due to licensing rules, the film’s modified cars such as this RX-8 can’t stay in the US, but can be imported here.

25th November 2006

A Japanese importer has snapped up all the surviving cars from the hit US movie the Fast and the Furious 3 - Tokyo Drift, and is putting them up for auction.

It's the first time any of the souped-up machines from the cult movie trilogy have been made available.

Three star cars feature among the 19 models for sale - the other 80 machines were damaged performing stunts. There's a Mazda RX-7 tuned to deliver 450bhp and valued at around £80,000, and a similarly powered Nissan 350Z turbo, set to fetch £50,000, along with a blown 350bhp Mazda RX-8, priced around £40,000.

The cars are being sold by Newera Imports, which was offered the film stars by Universal Studios. Log on to www.neweraimports.com for details.
