It's a double record breaker! Not satisfied with being the fastest street-legal saloon, Brabus's amazing Rocket has raised the bar again with an even higher top speed run.
The previous high of 225.2mph was broken when the German firm took the speed machine to the circular Nardo test track in southern Italy. Flat-out, the driver could only eke out an extra 2mph, taking the maximum to 227.2mph.
The Rocket is based on a heavily modified Mercedes CLS, and power comes from a mighty 720bhp twin-turbocharged Brabus V12 engine. Priced at £235,178, the 6.3-litre saloon is one of the world's most expensive cars.
