Loeb on mark at Citroen

Citroen has enlisted the help of its triple world rally champion Sebastien Loeb to create two new hot hatch special-editions.

C2

19th December 2006

Due on sale in the UK in January, the C2 and C4 models will line up alongside existing VTR variants. Badged 'by Loeb', the two cars come in black or red with white alloy wheels and neat decals on the doors and rear.

Designed to coincide with Citroen's re-entry into the WRC next year with a brand new C4 challenger, the two specials feature the same cosmetic upgrades. The C4 gets a unique numbered plaque with Loeb's signature, while C2 models receive a numbered sticker on the driver's door.

The C2, which comes with a 125bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine, is expected to cost less than £10,000. The 180bhp 2.0-litre C4 by Loeb should be just under £13,000.
