Storming Nissan logo is go, go, go

Here's your first chance to see the Nissan GT-R's new badge of honour

27th December 2006

In our Christmas Special, we revealed what the stunning coupé will look like - and now bosses are teasing fans of the car with this official image of the badg

The logo replaces the Skyline name tag, and will appear on the newcomer when it makes its world debut at October's Tokyo Motor Show. It's due here in 2008, priced around £50,000.

A 480bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 will ensure the Nissan has the punch to take on the competition, which will include Lexus's forthcoming V10 LF-A.

The GT-R also gets advanced four-wheel drive for maximum traction, plus a clever clutchless manual gearbox, similar to VW's DSG. Despite the huge power output, engineers claim the model will be easy for novices to handle, yet also provide enough fun for experienced drivers.
