The Cat is about to be let out of the bag! To whet the appetites of Jaguar fans across the UK, the Coventry-based company has released this exciting teaser shot of the forthcoming S-Type replacement.
Making its debut at January's Detroit Motor Show, the BMW 5-Series rival will be unveiled along with its new name, XF, which we revealed in Issue 938. The dark image keeps most of the car's styling under wraps, but it does expose some key details.
There are new tail-lights with bold red LED lamps unlike anything seen on current Jaguars. The rest of the bodywork is completely fresh, with a definite shoulder line around the side windows and boot-lid. Also clearly visible are new rear door handles which are hidden in the C-pillar, similar to those on the latest SEAT Leon.
Sales of the XF commence in mid-2008, with a choice of 2.7 twin-turbo diesel, 3.0 petrol and 300bhp 4.2-litre V8 engines. Prices will start from just under £30,000.
