Design boss Ian Callum presented the S-Type replacement to a packed conference hall. And he admitted that while the concept's daring look was not the whole story in terms of Jag's reinvention, it gave a taste of its plans for the exec market. It also hinted at the ambitious strategies for replacing the aluminium-bodied XJ in 2009.
Before that, the roadgoing XF is set to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and go on sale early in 2008. Facelifted versions of the X-Type and XJ are also due later this year.
