As exclusively previewed in Auto Express’s New Year Special (Issue 941), six of the GT3 competitors are currently under construction at Apex Motorsport in Buckingham.

But the first complete version was revealed at the Autosport International racing car show at the NEC in Birmingham. “We welcome this initiative, which will result in Jaguar sportscars being seen on race tracks across Europe,” said board director Stuart Dyble. The XKR will make
its race debut in the opening round of this year’s FIA GT3 European Championship at Silverstone in early May.
