Designers have added a mountain of kit to this rugged Suzuki. Called the BaseCamp, it showed crowds at the Detroit expo how the XL7 SUV could work in the great outdoors.
It features a detachable, carbon-framed canopy, a roof rack to carry bikes, high-intensity spotlamps and titanium cladding. But the vehicle's most striking feature is the large passenger-side gullwing door that swings open to reveal a functioning kitchen and work area. The XL7 has a 185bhp 2.7-litre petrol V6 and four-wheel drive.
