It's the GTM 40TR, a lightweight machine capable of hitting 150mph. The car has an aluminium frame and uses the 220bhp 2.0-litre engine from Honda's previous-generation Civic Type R, which is capable of running on biofuel. This is the fourth model in GTM's line-up, following the launch of the Ballista last year and the Spyder and Libra before that.
The Coventry-based sports car firm says the decision to build the model came after a huge response from visitors to the Autosport show at the Birmingham NEC earlier this month. Trackday and race models are expected to be ready by the middle of March, but the road variant won't be available until the summer. Prices start at £14,000.
"It's extremely fast, superb value and it's made in the Midlands!" said delighted GTM boss Lloyd Taylor.
