Work will cause 'M-way' mayhem

Congestion and frustration awaits M1 users

Thousands of commuters face a year of roadwork misery, as widening of the M1 gets underway.

The motorway will be increased from three to four lanes between junctions 31 and 32 near Sheffield in a £20million project expected to last 11 months. The M1 is already being widened further south, in a massive exercise between J6A and J10 at Luton, Beds.
