Of course, you’re less likely to get a huge discount when prices are so low to start with, but don’t let the staff fob you off.
Want proof? Then visit a rival outlet and play them off against each other. Don’t be afraid to wave the competition’s business card around to prove the point, but be honest or you risk being laughed out of the showroom. Once they know you are serious, see if you can get some road tax thrown in, perhaps an extended warranty or even a tank of fuel. Anything is a bonus. Whatever happens, don’t be left waiting around all day, while staff disappear to ‘speak to the manager’. They’ll actually be having a crafty smoke outside.
Let them know you’re there to do a deal and that you’re prepared to walk away if you get messed around. That way, you won’t be left stewing like one poor punter I spotted on a recent visit – he arrived in the morning but was still there when I left just before closing!
