Sigma power for sporty new Seven

Caterham's legendary Seven family will be boosted this month with the arrival of a new 150bhp version powered by Ford's Sigma engine

Caterham Seven

19th February 2007

The powerplant was originally going to be uprated to 140bhp, but Caterham engineers were so impressed with its potential, they gave it another 10bhp.

The 150 model starts at £17,495, but there will be a stripped-down track variant - the Superlight - priced at £20,495. More than 10,000 miles of road testing and 1,200 miles of track work went into developing the new car - the longest research programme in Caterham's history.
