While models such as the Evo and Shogun are a familiar sight on UK roads, the Delica D:5 is only recognisable thanks to grey imports available to British motorists. Now the Japanese company has launched a fresh version of the go-anywhere family model. Boasting four-wheel drive and seven seats, the boxy people carrier is powered by a 2.4-litre petrol engine.
It's the first Mitsubishi to feature deformable bumpers made from resin, which are easier to pop back into shape in the event of a low-speed collision. Clever innovations inside include a deodorising Clean Air Filter and even an odour-eating roof lining! Mitsubishi also has some good news for off-road fans in the UK, with the revised Shogun now in showrooms.
Prices range from £22,949 to £34,999, and the SUV is available in both long and short wheelbase variants, plus there's a seven-seat option.
