While Honda is confident it has built Button (pictured) and team-mate Rubens Barrichello a better car, it admits it’s still struggling to come to terms with the new Bridgestone tyres.
McLaren and Ferrari continue to set the pre-season pace, but the two Honda drivers are even having difficulty matching the lap times being set by Williams, Toyota and Renault. “We are making progress, but still have a lot of work to do,” Barrichello said after testing at Jerez in Spain.
