Workers switch from road to rail

Commuters are coming off the UK's packed roads, according to the latest research

A new poll carried out by Barclaycard shows that the proportion of British motorists driving to work every day has fallen from 92 per cent of respondents in 2004 to 75 per cent in 2006. Commuting by train is now five times as popular as it was two years ago.
