Route planners for your mobile

Phone giant Nokia is giving away free route-planning maps for mobiles and hand-held PDA units

The planners show roads, car parks, fuel stations, cafes and hotels, they'll also help drivers meet up with friends.

Owners can pinpoint a destination then send everyone a map message showing how to get there. The software is available free from www.smart2go.com and can be upgraded to turn-by-turn sat-nav on subscription.
