Extended theory test, green motor show an dtracing foreign-plated road offenders

LEARNER drivers will soon get a grilling on essential motoring rules, as the PC-based theory test is being extended – from 35 questions to 60 in April, and to 100 next spring. Green issues, new motorway signs and uninsured driving will be tackled.

GREEN-fingered motorists have a new reason to visit Cornwall’s Eden Project – the horticultural centre will be home to the Sexy Green Motor Show. Car makers will be displaying their eco-friendly models between 30 March and 16 April.

THE Government should give local authorities powers to trace owners of foreign-plated cars, says lobby group Sparks. These motorists already escape parking tickets, but could dodge proposed road pricing schemes too.
