Daihatsu's glass act

A new model from Daihatsu sheds plenty of light on the Japanese company's forward thinking

D-Compact X-Over

08th March 2007

The model features a full-length glass roof giving a bright, airy cabin. Starring at Geneva, the D-Compact X-Over has been penned by ItalDesign.

With a striking shape that includes radically curved C-pillars, door-mounted mirrors and a deep front airdam, it's one of the most stylish cars ever to wear the firm's badge. And it's now close to reaching production.

The model is debuting alongside Daihatsu's new Charade, which goes on sale in the UK in July, starting from £7,000.
