H3 is set to be fitted with V8 engine, while diesel version is coming to UK

The covers will come off the heavyweight SUV's fresh motor at April's New York Motor Show. It is expected to be shared with other models in General Motors' North American line-up. The new V8 will join the existing 3.7-litre 241bhp five-cylinder model, but it won't be made available to UK buyers.
The right-hand-drive version set to go on sale in the UK this summer is built in South Africa, but there is a diesel variant on the horizon, which will increase the 4x4's appeal. It's expected to join the line-up in 2009. A smaller Hummer, the H4, is also in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Britain's first official Hummer dealer, Bauer Millett in Manchester, has opened for business.
