Daewoo X appeal

This grand-looking machine is Daewoo's new flagship saloon

Daewoo L4X

24th April 2007

Revealed in concept form at the Seoul Motor Show, it's called the L4X and around the same size as Mercedes' S-Class. It gets a similarly vast, bold grille and imposing styling to the big Mercedes, too. The newcomer has bi-xenon headlights and LED tail-lamps.

Inside, there are luxuries such as digital television, satellite navigation and tri-zone climate control. A 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine delivering 258bhp drives the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic gearbox.

Although GM Daewoo no longer sells cars in the UK and doesn't plan to bring the L4X here in its present form, the new model could arrive in 2009 badged as a Chevrolet, carrying a price tag of around £30,000.
