Hi-tech kit calls out to passers-by

Pedestrians' mobile phones could soon help them be 'seen' by drivers

New technology being tested by Nissan means handsets would be detected by an in-car warning system. The Japanese firm hopes the kit will reduce the chance of road accidents by using global positioning data to pinpoint the location of passers-by.
